Dance music pioneer Dario G dies, aged 53
Italian producer known for hits including Sunchyme and Carnaval De Paris

Italian dance music producer Dario G has died at the age of 53, his record label has confirmed.
G, whose real name was Dario Gabriel, was best known for his 1997 hit Sunchyme, which reached number two in the UK singles chart and was a mainstay of Ibiza dancefloors.
He also produced the 1998 hit Carnaval De Paris, which reached number 10 in the UK. G's music has been streamed more than 14 million times in the UK alone, according to the Official Charts Company.
In a statement, G's record label Spinnin' Records said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and artist, Dario G. Dario passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the age of 53.
"We are deeply saddened by this loss and our thoughts are with Dario's family and friends at this difficult time. Dario was a true pioneer in the dance music scene and his music has touched the lives of millions around the world. He will be sorely missed.
G's death is a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing the time we have with our loved ones. His music will continue to bring joy to people for many years to come, and his legacy will live on.
